About the Allotments
The Whiteshill & Ruscombe Allotment Association was set up in early 2010 after the Parish Council and some dedicated locals had managed to secure some land on Ruscombe Road for our allotments. After 6 months of hard work clearing the site and preparing the allotments a group of 19 novice allotmenteers moved in.
In May 2011 we held an opening ceremony to recognise the help and support given by the land owner, the Parish Council and the Heritage Lottery fund in getting the allotments goings. Since then the allotments have gone from strength to strength and are now producing fantastic organic local food.
The Parish Clerk holds a waiting list for would be allotmenteers and any of the committee are happy to answer questions.
